Nate Roemer '13 Recruiting Profile

I've entered my Senior year and under a new coach and new style of play, our team secured a spot in the playoffs and made it to the 2nd round. I suffered a season-ending injury (Lisfranc fracture) which has been surgically repaired and I am just now (Jan '13) at 100% recovery. After earning an All-State selection my Junior Year, I was honored with many awards including Honorable Mention All-State, Defensive Player of the Year (Pontiac Daily Leader) and others even though I was hurt mid-season. I also was recently honored by being selected to the Illinois Shriner's All-State East Team and game to be played July 13, 2013. My focus, intensity and commitment to the game I love never waivers and after a summer of camps and recruiting I am primed to help my team succeed and be a leader on the field and in the classroom. I have the talent, character, academic credentials, motivation and drive to succeed in college. Now I just need the opportunity. As far as my linebacker style, I am quick to the ball, take great angles, see the field well and play to the whistle. Every down. Every time. I hit hard! My versatility is also my strength and I could play any position on the field. Where ever I am needed. I am a multisport athlete playing varsity basketball, baseball and track but I love the game of football. Thanks for taking the time to view my profile and highlights.
