Jack Long II '24 Recruiting Profile

I will not be outworked mentally or physically.  I have been working on my leadership skills over the last several years and have been team captain the last 3 years as well as MVP.   Off the field, I have also been class president and have worked hard to score the highest grades with a 4.0 in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  I was the only one in my grade to be selected to represent our school for STEM program and went to Loyola University to study there as part of the short summer program.  

I have also just completed a 12 week executive leadership course.  I was the youngest in the course, most were seniors, yet I completed the final exam with the highest score.  We did not have state testing this year but last year in 7th grade I scored the highest in all of middle school for reading, and was also in top 1% in the state for math and in the top 5% in language arts.  This last year in 8th grade I won the mathematician award, scientific achievement award, historian award, theology award, and was on high honor roll with 4.0.

I was convinced by coaches to leave my smaller private school and am getting ready to start my Freshman school year at Avon High School in Avon, Indiana.  It is a very large school, but I have many friends who I've played football with since first grade.  It will be a big change for me but I am excited about the opportunity to play football as an Oriole and will be a leader on and off the field in everything that I do.   I'm happy to put you in contact with current and former principals and coaches.
