My name is Savon E. Smith and I am currently a junior at Hamilton Southeastern High School, Fishers, IN. My journey playing football started when I was in first grade. My parents signed me up to play flag football first because my mother was too scared that I was going to get hurt playing tackle football. It took my father two years to convince my mother that I was ready to play tackle football. During my first tackle practice as a third grader I knew I would love this game when I actually got knocked down and got back up and wanted to do it again, so I could knock somebody down. My passion for the game of football has continued to grow over the years in regards to me wanting to be one of the best defensive lineman in the state of Indiana. In order to help me accomplish this goal I have been working out with Dan Muir of Trench Game/ProX Athlete, in the off seasons for the last two years. This hard work started paying off when I became a varsity starting defensive lineman my sophomore year of high school. My aspirations are to play at the college level and major in Business and then get my MBA or attend Law School. My college major and goals after obtaining my four year degree are just as important to me as finding a school that is a good fit for me football wise. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement and I look forward to hearing from you.
