I believe what sets me apart from other student athletes you are recruiting isn’t on the field, but it is everywhere else. I’m extremely committed in the class room, I have a strong connection with my community and many volunteer hours, and a good upbringing. I am an excellent leader off and on the playing fields. It has always been school over sports, and it shows. I have been a back to back Academic All-Conference selections as well First- team All-Conference selection for both football and basketball in my junior seasons. As far as on the field, I’m extremely versatile as I’ve played every position on the field for the better meant of my team. Due to our low numbers (15 total players last season) at a small school I’ve been able to play many positions over the last three years at the varsity level; in one of the toughest conferences in the northern part of Indiana, the Hoosier North Athletic Conference. This circumstance has made persevering and continued learning a must. I have taken multiple snaps at the following positions on defense: Inside Linebacker, Nose Tackle, Defensive End, Defensive Tackle, Strong and Free Safety, and Cornerback on both sides of the field, and was the long snapper as well. I have played Defensive End and Outside Linebacker the most over the last three years, but my coaches think that my natural position is 3 technique defensive lineman. On the offensive side, I played almost a whole season at Quarterback my junior year. My sophomore year, I was Left Tackle, and both Left and Right Guard after injuries to teammates. I was a Tight End as a freshman and was then moved to Left Tackle due to another injury. As far as my collegiate goals go, I’d say I want to win a National Championship. But doesn’t everyone? How many of them will do whatever it takes to be successful? I know I would because I’ve been moved into different positions to help my team be as competitive as we can be. Another goal of mine is to be able to combine what I’ve been taught in high school and what I hope to learn in college, to be successful in my future career choice.
