Evan Cardwell '18 Recruiting Profile

    Throughout my high school football career I have experienced many ups and downs. Coming into freshman year I was a lean 140 lbs. I did not even start on JV. During the off season after my freshman year I spent countless hours in the weight room and adjusted my diet to become bigger and stronger. Sophomore year it paid off! I was named Most Improved Player for varsity wrestling and football. I was also named All-Conference HM for football. I continued my determination for success into my junior year. I was named IFCA Junior All-State in football and was awarded team MVP for both football and wrestling. 

    I could have never gotten where I am today without God, great coaching, strong teamwork, and encouragement from my parents. My experiences, great mentors, and determination have helped me to develop into leader. I was named team captain as a junior on my wrestling team. I believe that I am a quiet leader that leads by example. Every team needs someone that yells and pumps guys up, but they also need someone showing them the right way to do things. Actions speak louder than words.
