Benjamin Thompson '13 Recruiting Profile

Statistics:
My name is Benjamin Jeremiah Thompson. I am 6' tall and i weigh 167 pounds. I attend New Castle High School and I am a senior. My primary position is wide reciever and Safety. I finished my senior year I led the team with 228 receiving yards. I also led the team in tackles with a total of 66. I received the following awards this season; Defensive MVP, Trojan Pride Award, Best Wide Receiver, and All NCC (all conference).

Interests:
Colleges I am seriously interested in are as followed; Purdue University, Indiana University, Ball State University, Oregon University, Florida University, There are many other colleges I would be more than happy to attend as well, but i do not have a specific school that I am commited to. I am interesteed in majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in welding. To be honest, I want to go to a college that also wants me there. I am willing to go to any college that will accept me which also fills my academic desires. I am looking for a a big school like Purdue because that is where my cousin, Curtis Painter, attended and was very successful. It would be special to me to also play for the same team that he did. I am open to different types of schools though.
Financial Aid: I am going to need financial aid because I come from a big family. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I am the third child and the first two are already attending Ball State University
About Me:
I love the sport of football! It is my passion. I had always been interested in the sport and it is my dream to play this amazing sport beyond high school. I am always the first player on the field for warm-ups and the last player to leave the field. I am going to do anything possible to compete at the college level and forfill my life long dream.
