Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
My name is Caden Nims, and I am a 2025 graduate student located in Ramstein HS, in Ramstein Germany. I have lived in Atlanta GA, Tacoma WA, and Potsdam NY. My family is military, with my mother being a veteran and my dad still serving, both in the Air Force. My parents were both officers, with my father being a Lt. Colonel, and both have their graduate degrees. My mother went to the University of Washington and my father went to the University of Virginia. So, in my house, education is a big part of my life and I take pride in my grades. I'm a 4.0 student, currently taking AP Physics and have taken AP Human Geography. Other than school, I play football and baseball, and play guitar, listen to music, and travel in my free time. In my off-season, I mostly lift and condition with teammates and coaches. I have played football for 3 years competitively, but played tackle in 4th grade and flag football also. I reached the varsity team at my first season at Ramstein, back in my sophomore year. After my junior year, I earned the Division 1 All Conference 2nd Team Offense award. In my sophomore season of baseball, my team went to the playoffs, and I was recognized as an All-Star player for the tournament. In my freshmen and sophomore seasons, I was named "Heart of the Team" by two separate coaches. Thank you for your time and consideration, I will look forward to talking with you.
