Personal Statement
An American that was born and raised in Italy and fluent in both English and Italian. I am the product of an overseas, dual income, US military household. I have traveled Europe extensively and consider myself culturally diverse and aware. My upbringing in Italy provided a sense of community and my US Military heritage has fostered a sense of duty to our Nation. I am disciplined and mature beyond my years according to adults who know me. I follow my father's motto that, "If you're on time you're late but if you're early you're on time". This is an indicator that I arrive prepared before I am required to work. I am self motivated and demonstrated by my parents have never had to ask me to do my homework. I've consistently managed multiple sports, volunteer work, a social schedule.
My goal is to become a mechanical engineer and find solutions to complex problems to benefit our society. I do not believe in taking the easy wrong but instead chose the hard right. I will do the right thing even when no one is watching. I am honest and loyal to a fault. I greatly appreciate unit/organizational traditions which is rooted in my father's demonstration of devotion to the US Army. Like the US Army, I am competitive and strive to improve myself physically and mentally.
