Personal Statement
My Name is Christos Symeon Katsanis and I am 17 years old. Currently I live with my parents and sister in Athens Greece, where I go to high school (11th grade at the German School of Athens). My family is back to Greece since July 2015. Before that, we lived in Vienna Austria for 7 years since my father was serving there as a diplomat. In Vienna, I' ve got acquainted with American football, realizing that it is the kind of sport that suits me better than annything else and witch I'm doing very good in because of my bodytype but also the agressive type of game i have: I get very quickly of the line and use my hands and explosiveness very good to rush the lineman and get as quickly as possible to the ball. From the very beginning and the first training I started loving it very much. I played football at Vienna Knights for 4 years . In only 2 months after very hard work and time I spent in the gym and arena I got a starting position in the big team. After a year and a half of training I ve got also the speaking captain title. That is when I started getting serious with the sport. Since October 2013 I am exercizing hard every day with the aim to be feste on the field and the best at my position. I also started paying more attention at school. Last year I finished with an average grade A-. I want to reach the best in everything I do. However, since we moved to Greece, I lost the opportunity to do this wonderful sport since there are no American football teams in my country. And this despite the fact that a lot of young people in Greece are very fond of American football. I've been trying to build a team here but with little success. Nevertheless, I do not quit and I am trying to keep myself fit, ready to reach out and realize my dreams. I am sure that I'm the hardest working and most courageous Player you will find. My motto is ''never ever give up on your dreams''.
