Personal Statement
I’m currently playing as a middle linebacker and a defensive tackle for the 6 time consecutive winning provincial champions, Cochrane High in Alberta Canada. My football career started later than most playing at the Bantam level as an offensive tackle. I was a first-string starter throughout the year and had the honor of being nominated to try out for Team Alberta. Being nominated in my first year of playing football was an accomplishment that has never been made before by any previous player of The Cochrane Lions Football Association. The 2017-2018 High School season enhanced my skills and enabled me to win the prestigious "Rookie of the Year" award. The 2018-2019 High School Season I was a first-string starter playing linebacker and defensive end which resulted in me receiving The Coaches Award which recognizes athletes that puts the team before themselves.
I am an energetic and athletic individual who has played competitive sports since the age of four focusing on football, hockey, track and field, and volleyball. These sports have assisted me in shaping my skills and talent as a team player and my drive for success in life which I know will provide me the skills to compete at a college level. The leadership skills I have gained through playing/coaching hockey, on the football field, and as an honor student has set a foundation that will enable me to fully embrace athletic opportunities and pursue an education in the sciences.
