Personal Statement
Hello coaches,
My name is Lee and I studied in the States for about 4-5 years and found a passion for kicking and punting the ball through friends who plays football. I started playing in 7th grade and started kicking. Moving on from Texas to California I played for Chaminade High School located in California and played on the freshman team. On the freshman team, I played as a receiver/linebacker/punter/kicker. In my sophomore year, I moved back to my home country Kuwait. Unfortunately, there is no football here, however, I still kick/punt, putting the work in alone. I really would like to play college football at levels, of either D1 or D2, the reason being is wanting less burden on my parents' shoulders for paying my college tuition fee. I would say I am a good candidate for the team due to the reason of having my loved ones in my mind and will push through and work hard over obstacles that comes against me and would work hard and improve on my game for the team. I am different from other recruits in character because I have met many different people from different cultures allowing me to be diverse with the team. Athletically I wouldn't say I am average, but I am a little bit above average, not to the point where I am outstanding, however positionally I believe my skills are equivalent to a 4.5/5 star although I have not been officially ranked. Academically as a freshman I ended the year with a 2.9, however I came to my senses and raised my GPA up to a 3.3 my sophomore year, and at junior year up to a 3.8, showing that I could improve not just as an athlete, but also as a student!
