Personal Statement
My name is Juan Pablo de la Garza Gonzalez, I’m 18 years old and my plan is to study and play football in the USA. The reason I’m a good candidate for your team is that my goals are focused on being a winner, centered on developing my learning skills, acknowledging great opportunities, and help build a winning culture for my community – something my mom and dad thought me. My experience in football goes way back to when I was 6 – Within this time lapse my record in organized competition is 81-12-2. Tackle is 33-6 and had back-to-back championships in 2015-16 with the Centro Escolar Cedros “Bears”, as well as winning the NFL Flag Mexico tournaments twice, and a local Mx tournament. In 2019, I switched to the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) “Pumas” youth program, where we had a 7-3 record, and lost on semifinal. Due to the pandemic in 2020 Mexico City’s programs came to a halt. Nevertheless, with the help of my brothers I have continued to work out my skills in a disciplined and methodical way.
Currently I’m starting quarterback at the UNAM team “Coyotes CU”.
I have endured and developed a winning way of life within my academic and sports activities, as well as with my family and friends. Thus, I consider myself a great candidate to add to your learning community.
