Darius McMoore ‘19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Darius McMoore and I am a Samoan Football player from American Samoa. My first two years of high school I played linebacker at Berrien Springs High School in Michigan. It was very good experience to get to know the sport and use the equipment I had more especially since my first year of playing was my freshmen year. This year I play defensive back In American Samoa.  This year which is my junior year the football season has finished in December and overall I felt like there could have been a lot more room of improvement. I am improving my knowledge of the sport by constantly working out and playing other sports like basketball which helps me stay fit and also going to camps. In American Samoa many kids do not have a lot of success when it comes to education. This is why many end up in the army which disappoints me and the expectations for many parents are not that high because they don’t expect more than going to the army. My parents know this, and they set there expectations high which is how they are so successful right now. My main goal is to make my parents proud and show my Samoan Pride through football which on island is so important to me and my people it is one of the ways all the high schools can connect and act like one big family. This is part of who I am and hopefully I would get to share my life and experience you and your football family.
