Personal Statement
I am an Australian-American rugby player now playing football in Tokyo. Its been my dream to play football in the USA at the collegiate level.
I am very coachable and contributed to winning the All-Japan National Championship for Setagaya Rugby Football Club soon after my arrival in Japan. I am also hard-working and believe that my years playing competitive rugby has enhanced my performance on the football field.
Playing rugby, I’ve learned the art of tackling and offensively finessing my opponents. I’m never scared to tackle anyone -no matter their size- and am a quick runner that attacks the gaps and consistently beats my defenders.
From my teammate's perspective, I’m always open to feedback and consistently bring an uplifting tone to the game because I genuinely love playing the sport and have experienced the benefits of motivating everyone on the field firsthand.
At ASIJ, I work hard to get good grades, maintain a high GPA, and strive to be a leader for positive change.
Overall, I want to attend a college where I am both challenged on the football field as well as in the classroom. I am open to all options and am confident that I will contribute to a team playing at the highest level of competition.
