Personal Statement
My name is Kobe Christian Lefiti, I was in the graduating class of 2020 at Samoana High School in Pago Pago, American Samoa. I recently moved to Oceanside, California.
During my tenure as a high school athlete, I played several positions such as wide receiver and strong safety. I am capable of adapting and playing different positions as an Athlete. Some of my accomplishments are; I am a former Team Captain for both the Samoana High School’s Junior and Varsity teams from 2017-2020. My team won the championship game in 2019-2020. I was named the Most Valuable Player of the season for American Samoa’s Football Championship game in 2019-2020. Upon graduation, I was recognized as the Samoana High School’s Athlete of the season. In addition, I was selected amongst all elite players from all High Schools on Island to represent American Samoa and Samoana high school at the JPS -JR PREP Sports of America in Hawaii in 2019-2020. Through my stellar performance, ability to balance and organize priorities, and reliability, and the respect of my former coaches, administrative staff, and most importantly my teammates, I was selected as the JPS -JR PREP Sports Team Captain. I also served in leading my team to victory in all three games amongst different high school teams from Hawaii and California.
I am passionate about my goals of being athletically and academically sufficient. My ability to achieve a balance in academics and sports is inspirational. I am interested in obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. As a political science major, I am interested in learning about different political theories, international relations, and comparative politics. This will help enhance my skills in analytical reading, research, and analysis writing.
