Toughness and commitment to one's team before themselves are two qualities that outstanding leaders possess. I exhibited these when breaking my collarbone during my freshman year then tearing my MCL my sophomore year. I would not come out of the game. I played a three plays with a broken collarbone and two quarters with a torn MCL before my coaches pulled me because I knew the team needed me. I was not injured my junior season and the stats prove what could have happened for two years prior. Leadership is having year round dedication to excellence, through bettering yourself and those around you. My summers and off seasons are spent honing my skills at various camps, combines and working hard in the weight room. I am proud of the values my parents have instilled in me especially to be honest, hard working and to be self-disciplined. I believe these values will give me the foundation to achieve my goals of being a successful college student athlete.
