Curtis Witte '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Curtis Witte.  I am a football player at Lewis Central High School looking to play at the next level. Over the years I've played for school and now a variety of club sport teams in football and basketball. Through those experiences I have been allowed to become a more productive teammate. I feel like my teammates would describe me as someone who is helping them be successful. It is a goal for me to give positive energy to everyone around me. By working hard both on the field and in the weight room I feel like I have earned the respect of my teammates.

Since I was young I have been around the game of football by attending high school practices with my Dad who coaches football at Lewis Central. Over those years, I have had the opportunity to watch and learn from Lewis Central football players that have gone on to play at high levels. I have modeled my work ethic, dedication, effort, and high standards after those examples. I highlight my enthusiasm for football and team sports as one of my best attributes. The enjoyment of learning and continuing to develop my understanding of how to be a leader among my peers motivates me to work hard.

My playing experience has taught me how to handle adversity and disappointment. Finding the motivation to correct mistakes and make improvements has allowed me to advance. Earning a starting position as a sophomore required mental discipline and persistence.  My goals are to continue learning and improving at every opportunity. Never feeling satisfied with what has already happened and always looking forward to the next challenge.
