My name is Brian Sadler and I go to Jesup High School in Jesup, IA. One of my goals ever since I was a little kid was to play college football. I knew I wanted to be a college football player when I watched my uncle play at Luther College. Seeing him have fun playing and getting a good education at the same time inspired me.
Academically I have a 4.0 GPA and participate well in class. As an eighth grader I won the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. I was freshman class president and now the sophomore class president. I have been on the Honor Roll since fifth grade. During middle school I participated in our school's Extended Learning Program and Lego League. Along with all of this I was freshman student of the month in September and sophomore student of the month in September.
Athletically I play football, wrestle, and run track. On the football team I start varsity as an offensive guard or tackle and play defensive tackle as well. As a wrestler I have won AAU state, been a member of Team Iowa since fourth grade, been a three time All-American, and competed in many national tournaments across the country. Last year I set a middle school record as an eighth grader to be the first person to go undefeated and pin every opponent. In track mostly just throw shot put and discus.
I would make a good team member because I am a good leader and push my teammates. I believe that being a good leader and a role model are two of the most important traits to have as an athlete because it helps inspire others to be just like you which all around creates a great team!
