My name is Gatlin McCumber, and I am a 6’2 270lb, Offensive and Defensive Lineman for the New Hampton Chickasaws. I live in New Hampton, Iowa, a very small community in northern Iowa. I started playing flag football in early elementary school and have had a passion for the game ever since. This season we made it to the Conference Championship and unfortunately lost in the first round. I received Class 2A, All-District 3 First Team Offense which was very rewarding and showed that by putting in the work it does pay off. I work hard on and off the field. I have learned that not only do you have to be a great player you also have to be a passionate player. You must love the game and really understand your role not only as an individual player, but as a teammate who can encourage, support and lead. I believe in myself and know that I have more to offer so I continue to train hard and stay the course as my goal is to play collegiate football and possibly professional football.
