Braxtyn Renn '28 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Braxtyn Renn I am 6'1 and weigh 235 lbs. As a prospective collegiate athlete, I approach football with a sense of commitment and dedication. My versatility on the field allows me to adapt to different positions and roles as needed. My goals in college revolve around succeeding on the field, as well as in the classroom. I believe that I will be a valuable addition to your team based on my character, athletic ability, academics, and leadership.

I understand the importance of balancing athletics with academics, and I am committed to maintaining a strong academic record throughout my college career. I currently hold a 3.82/4 GPA. I see academics not only as a personal goal but also as a reflection of my dedication to becoming a successful student athlete. A motto I live by from my middle school football coach is that “student comes before athlete”.

Football has been my passion since a very young age. I started playing tackle football in 3^rd grade. I did not play again until my 5^th grade year, but my league changed to flag football. I pursued flag football for 2 years and then started tackle again in 7^th grade, when I entered middle school. I also participated in basketball at my local church league for seven years, and then transitioned to the middle school team in 7^th grade. I took part in track my 7^th grade year as well.  

I prioritize integrity, discipline, and teamwork both on and off the field. My coaches and teammates can rely on me to uphold high standards of behavior and sportsmanship at all times. I have been told many times by my previous coaches that I am very coachable and a natural leader. I pride myself on being a good role model for the youth in my community.
