Declan Battle '24 Recruiting Profile

It is my dream to play collegiate football at the most competitive level I can while also pursuing academic excellence.  For me, this started at a very young age.  I was 8 years old when I began my tackle football career.  Having been coached by my Dad (a collegiate QB) early on and always having my Mom (a collegiate softball player) there for support I was instilled with a hard work ethic right away both on and off the field.   In my family it is a rule that if you do not make it in the classroom, you do not make it on the field.  I earned the starting varsity quarterback position as a sophomore and had a great season.  As a junior I led our team to a conference title having an undefeated regular season.  I have been on the Superintendent's Honor Roll having earned a 4.0 my freshman, sophomore, and junior years and recently inducted into the National Honor Society.  I have a passion for the game and strive to give my best every time I step on the field whether that is practice or a game.  I am also willing to put in the work off the field studying film, throwing with my teammates, and spending hours in the weight room.  I look forward to the opportunity to compete at the next level and be a leader in a championship culture!
