Jackson Likens '18 Recruiting Profile

When I was a little boy, I would ask my mom if I could play football.  She would say, "you do play football, European futbol".  I've been a soccer player since I could walk.  I've played competitive soccer for several years.  My mom finally let me play Football when I was in 8th grade.  I still remember the feeling I had when I took my first kick.  That was it, I knew what I wanted to do.    Since then I have worked hard with Uwe Von Schamann on technique, power, and accuracy.  You really find your level of commitment when your coach lives 6 hours away.  I am thankful that my parents believe in me and know this is what I want to do.  They have been committed to my kicking every step of the way.  I know this wasn't always easy as I am the oldest of 4 kids.   I have a passion for kicking, everyone that knows me can see it.  I love working hard alongside my teammates and supporting my school on the field.  I can contribute not only on the field, but off the field.  Outside of football I am known as a "Coach, musician, songwriter, favorite babysitter, community service participant, Bible School volunteer, devoted brother, son and grandson and a chivalrous young man" -Mom.  I am a very coachable player.  I work hard and make the corrections to improve and be even better.  I am a great student with hard classes, good grades and very good test scores.  I look forward to continue developing and succeeding at the next level.
