Hello, my name is Nick Alevras, and I am a player with high aspirations to further my education, through football. My intentions are to help my parents fund my college education through a football scholarship. I aspire for my parents to pay a minimum out-of-pocket amount for my college education. I feel that I would be a good fit at any college that would be willing to take a chance on a hard-working, goal-oriented southeastern Kentucky boy like myself. I am known to do whatever is best for the team, and stand behind the decisions that are made. My work ethic and desire to win would help me to be a good candidate for any team. I am different from other recruits because I go through my day following the three F's: Faith, Family, and Football. I am a member of Horse Creek Baptist Church, and attend services every Sunday and Wednesday. In addition, on Tuesday's and Fridays, my church hosts open gym for the local youth in which I offer my assistance with monitoring the youth, helping the cooking ladies, cleaning, or whatever is asked of me. I'm an active member in our Awana program, which is a church ministry to our local youth. Annually, I help the younger children in our church to study for a bible competition that is held against other churches in our area. Academically, I am a student who makes mostly A's with the exception of one or two B's. I have all honors classes, and two AP classes. Also, I am currently ranked in the top 20 in my class, and my education is my driving force. My parents have placed an emphasis on the importance of furthering my education, with football being a privilege that I love dearly. This past season, I was the leading tackler on my team's defense with 105 solo tackles in 11 games. Later this same season, I was voted the SEKC Linebacker of the Year, as a Junior. My talents on the gridiron show that I can be very versatile player as I have played positions ranging from Strong Safety, to Outside as well as Middle Linebacker.
