Personal Statement

I come from a family that taught me the values of hard work and determination. My parents and older brothers instilled in me the belief that I could create my path to success with dedication. My football journey began in the 9th grade, transitioning from a basketball background. Despite the initial criticism and skepticism due to my lack of fundamentals, I embraced the challenge and worked tirelessly to improve. This experience ignited a fire in me, and I fell in love with the game, finding joy in proving doubters wrong.

I've developed agility, strength, and communication skills as an offensive guard. I'm adaptable and versatile, capable of playing on either side of the ball, and I thrive as a team player, fostering unity among my teammates. Football has taught me that growth emerges from struggle, and I relish the role of an underdog, pushing my physical and mental boundaries. My academic journey reflects my dedication, as I maintain a 3.5 GPA. On the field, I transformed from a novice into a dependable, technically sound offensive lineman who started every game in my senior season.

In the short term, my academic goal is to graduate with an improved GPA and test scores. My collegiate goal is to play football at a school that values character, integrity, and a strong work ethic and can help me fulfill my academic dreams. I seek an environment where coaches and teammates support each other's growth, pushing one another to excel. I pride myself on being emotionally steady, so my outward expressions may not always mirror the inferno of emotions inside, but between the whistles my passion, dedication, and commitment are unquestionable.

I am a critical thinker, striving to strike the right balance between contemplation, action, humility, and hunger. My character, integrity, resilience, sobriety, dependability, and persistence are qualities and skills that will add value to your team.

I look forward to pursuing my collegiate aspirations on the football field and in the classroom while embracing the opportunity to be part of a cohesive and driven team that shares my passion for excellence.
