BOBBY BROUSSARD '12 Recruiting Profile

Football is one of my passions in life. I am interested in playing football in college as I work towards an advanced degree. My work ethic is solid on the field and in the classroom as I am an honors student with a 29 ACT score. I am driven, quick, strong, and disciplined with a 4.62 40-yd dash at 6'1 and 224 lbs. My high school football team, St. Thomas More Catholic in Lafayette, LA (2010, 2011, nationally ranked), is known for teaching technique, discipline and hard work. I pride myself on these attributes. I have the skills and possess extreme dedication. I have a knack for rushing the QB and a great sense for the game. I've played varsity since my sophomore year, but missed some time due to an injury early on. As a junior, I shared the varsity starting position with a senior at DE and I started and played the entire State Semi-final game in division 5A, Louisiana's highest division. Although we lost that game to the eventual state champs, I recorded 10 tackles and a 24 yard fumble return in that game.  As a Senior this year, I played DE due to my team's needs and the fact that my team has gone to a spread offense and does not run FB. I believe that I am better suited at FB or LB, but am open to helping my team in any position necessary. As an athlete who has gone through rigorous training with natural instinct and acquired sklls, I will definitely impress if given an opportunity.
