I am a dependable, hard working kicker/punter at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, LA, where I play football under Head Football Coach and All-City Coach of the Year Byron Dawson. I am an honor student with a GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. I believe in being a strong leader on and off the field. From my coaches and mentors, I have learned to lead and make a difference by serving. I serve my community through weekly outreaches to nursing homes and the boys and girl's club with my teammates, and through monthly outreaches to the youth detention facilities and at risk neighborhoods with my church. I have served my school as a leadership team member and as a volunteer in the remodeling of our campus. I serve my church weekly as a member of the youth leadership and worship team and the adult worship and sound team. I also serve at vacation bible school and other seasonal events for our children's ministry. I serve my team by being consistent on the field as well as at practice and by cleaning the locker room after Friday night games. As a college player, I will continue to lead by serving. My abilities and work ethic on and off the field are evidence that I will be a valuable asset to a great college team. I plan to receive a bachelor's degree as a student athlete at a university with not only a great football program, but a great academic environment as well.
I have prepared myself for college by being a dedicated student and athlete. In the classroom, I have taken honors classes and have applied for National Honor Society. As a Junior in 2015 on the football field, I was responsible for all kickoffs, extra points, field goals, and punts for our varsity football team. I received first team all district and 2nd team all-city. As a team, we are the 2015 Division 1-5A district co-champs and state semifinalist. I receive weekly instruction from Coach Marty Kent, former All-American kicker from LA Tech University. I have been fortunate to attend several kicking instructional camps including Chris Sailer Kicking, Louisiana Tech kicking and long snapping camp, and Matt Nelson Kicking Academy. I have played varsity soccer for three years, winning district two of those years. I received 2nd team all-district soccer eighth grade through freshman year and 1st team all-district sophomore year.
