Personal Statement

It’s very important to me to continue playing football in college. I would love to be a member of a competitive team and with my top-ranked skills as a kicker/punter, help contribute to the team’s success. It is important to be part of a team that works together and supports each other.  I plan to get an undergraduate degree, currently interested in studying business. I’m looking forward to experiencing living on-campus and starting my education towards a bachelor’s degree.

I have seven years experience playing football. I started in middle school and continued to play in high school when I became the starting kicker/punter. As a former soccer player, it was an easy transition into the kicker/punter position.  I have attended several regional and national kicking camps each year to receive coaching and ranking.  I am currently ranked 9th nationally with Kornblue as a 4.5 star punter and ranked as a 4.5 kicker and 4 star punter with Kohl’s.

I have a high work ethic and am dedicated to my training program.  My high school coach relies on me to play other positions due to team injuries (in addition to being kicker/punter). Because of my high knowledge of the game and versatility, I currently play quarterback and wide receiver.

I work hard to be the best at my position and maintain a positive attitude. As a senior, I mentor younger teammates during practice and games.  I communicate in huddles, anticipating what the opposing team might do, and what we need to do to complete our play.

Last year during COVID, my high school went to fully remote learning.  It was hard for me to focus during online learning, it was difficult to concentrate or stay focused.  As a result, my grades suffered during the 2020/2021 school year.  In a normal learning environment, I am a very good student who studies regularly, completes assignments, and gets good grades.  In Fall 2021, my school is back to in-person classes and I am working hard to get back on-track with my studies and improving my GPA. I will work hard to succeed as a student athlete, making positive contributions to the team and completing my degree.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
