I am Quinten Johnson, an 18 year old senior at Bangor High School. I am 5'10 weighing 175 pounds. I have been participating in all sports since the sixth grade. I have shifted position from a tight end to fullback and to a wide receiver my current season as I ended the season with two touchdowns a 49 yd touchdown reception and an 89 yard kick return. I have received other passes and two pt conversions but no other touchdowns. Mid season I was moved to varsity where I was placed on starting special teams where I had one tackle on kickoff. After being placed back on JV with two remaining games I became a fullback where I rushed for 15 yards.
I live everyday with struggles in my family. I have never met my father and my mom is raising me and my brother by herself on a limited income. My mom was going to school to become a registered nurse, but since being permanently injured in her left arm in a car accident on the way to one of my games, she is no longer able to continue the program. Because she cannot work in her career field or anywhere else, it would be very important and helpful if I receive a scholarship since my mom does not have college funds set up for me and my brother.
I have future dreams, plans and goals. I would love, just as every football loving athlete, to play in the NFL. Also, in college, I would like to major in film and production or criminal justice. The last dream I have would be something that runs in my family, and that would be coaching. My family has quite a coaching history and that has influenced me to do something good for myself to get better. I would love to influence my own group of athletes too.
