I remember watching football at a very young age, around 5, with my father. I asked as many questions as I could to learn as much as I could about the sport. I fell in love with it immediately. One of the funnest times I can remember is playing football as a youth. We had a great team and I was an integral part of the success we had. In fact, we traveled to Texas for a national U10 tournament and finished as the national runner-up. Throughout this time, I learned that I like being successful, am willing to work to become successful, and understand that I care more about my team’s success than just my own personal success or personal accolades. I’ve carried this attitude with me throughout my high school career.
My family and friends have influenced who I am as a person a great deal. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by people who want the best for me. My family has always been very supportive of me, and my friends very encouraging. I’ve learned to set goals for myself not only for athletics, but academically as well. My goal is to graduate with over a 3.5 gpa, then move on to a college that is the right fit for me academically and athletically. As a captain of my football team since my junior year I know I have the ability, both academically and athletically, as well as the leadership skills and the correct attitude, to be successful at the next level and in the future beyond my athletic career.
