My name is Daniel McGinnis III, but I go by Trey. I started playing football at the age of seven doing flag football, and ever since that day I fell in love with football. I’d always try to do extra work outside of practice to become the best player I could be. My ultimate goal in my high school football career is to compete for a state championship.
In my first year in high school, my work paid off. I was on the Junior Varsity as a freshman and led the team in all purpose yards and touchdowns. Now I am a sophomore and earned the starting RB position on the varsity team. It is my goal to earn a football scholarship to help pay for my college education.
I earned an my first Academic Letter after my freshman year by having an GPA of 3.83. My high school is one of the top 10 academic high schools in Michigan, so I am proud to be successful academically. It is my goal to receive an Academic Letter all four years of my high school career.
I also run track on the track team. Due to COVID, we unfortunately lost our track season. In my 8th grade year, I was in the top 10 in the state of Michigan for 8th graders in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. I broke my school record in the 200 meter dash.
I believe I can be an asset to any college program because I am a good listener, have a strong work ethic, and am very coachable.
I look forward to meeting you to learn more about your college football program.
Best Regards,
Daniel "Trey" McGinnis III
