I am the middle child (and only son) in a family of 5; the son of young parents who have struggled financially to raise all 3 of us to the best of their abilities. I have also struggled with health issues and injuries most of my younger years, being in and out of the hospital many times. I tell you this because it has made me a fighter…It has made me determined and focused on my future. I set my sights on what I want and I go for it! I have always been athletic, but in my Jr year of high school I made up my mind and made a promise to myself to be the very best I could be…After a slow football season, without a lot of varsity field time, I decided to join Lacrosse to keep me running and in fighting shape…Ends up I loved it and was really good at it as well. I was immediately placed on the varsity team in the starting line up at faceoff. I lettered my Jr year and was made a captain of the team for this upcoming year (after only playing one season)…During the summer I lifted every day as well as playing summer lacrosse and training for the upcoming football season. I helped to lead clinics for the younger kids in our community and have taken on a leadership role as a senior player this year. Our team considers all seniors captains until the end of our season when 3 official captains are announced and I am in position to be awarded one of those slots! Like I said I am focused, determined, and motivated not only on the field but in the classroom as well…I have been on the honor roll all throughout junior and senior high school and have been awarded the Athletic Scholar Award multiple times. Getting a higher education is VERY important in order to achieve my goals! I am eager to continue playing a game that I love, joining a team of brothers and building lasting relationships, as well as getting a degree and securing employment in a field that I am excited about!
