Sophomore JV high...Personal Statement
My greatest accomplishment so far in high school is that I was one of two athletes to compete at the Varsity level as a Sophomore in both football and basketball in the third largest high school in Minnesota. My most unique skill that sets me apart from others is my pride and interest in making my teammates excel. I enjoy their successes as much, if not more, than my own. A large part of making that happen is through leadership, which really comes down to connecting with my teammates and making sure they know I believe in them and us.
Listening and learning from my dad, who played college football and baseball (St. Olaf College ‘96, DIII) and captained both teams, has taught me a tremendous amount about what it means to have the opportunity to play college sports. He has helped shape and teach my foundation for football, basketball, and most importantly, life. The teammates, coaches, academics, and sense of community are all something I want to be a part of and see myself contributing to in a meaningful way.
