2013 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Hi, my name is Jesper Horsted and I'm a student athlete at Roseville Area High School. For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for sports and a dream of playing them at the collegiate level. I love to compete and hate to lose.
In the classroom I have a wide range of interests--from Math to Music and Art. But my favorites are English and Spanish.
Outside of the classroom, I am a 3-sport varsity starter in baseball, basketball and football. What I love most about sports and particularly football is the camaraderie and brotherhood that is built throughout the season by working and playing hard together. This past football season was by far the tightest-knit team I've ever been a part of, and that played a huge role in our success and my enjoyment of the season. In the rare event that I have some time off sports and school, I enjoy fishing and spending time with friends.
I have strong preferences about where I will go to school, both in terms of geography and academic standards. I see my years in college as a time of exploration and preparation for the future. I'm looking to stretch outside my comfort zone. I've traveled all around the world and really love new experiences and meeting new people.
Getting to do all that while playing a game that I love with committed teammates and coaches would be a great privilege--and a lot of fun.

- It was a privilege to be invited to this camp and I learned a lot about my strengths and skills relative to other elite WRs. I feel I was strong in the 1:1s with my height and sure hands, and I realized I definitely need to work on my footwork! I believe that my measurables will improve with more experience and training.

- This was my first combine experience and although I was coming off a sprained ankle (basketball) I decided to do it as a learning experience in preparation for the Nike NFTC camp in Chicago a week later.
