As a student and athlete, working hard in the classroom is just as important as working hard on the field and I take pride in making sure my grades reflect the same. My love of football started at the age of 9 years old when I first started playing for a local travel team. My primary position was linebacker in which I did very well in this position for my first season. During my second season my coach saw potential in me to be versatile and played me in other positions such as running back and a deep return guy on special teams.
Football has taught me how to work as a team to reach a common goal, to believe in myself and my fellow teammates, and how to push people through tough times when they need it most. My academic goals for college are to prioritize my classes based on those classes I feel I have the most struggle as well as dedicating adequate time to study. Some of my characteristics that separates me from the rest of the competition is that I am very versatile and able to listen to constructive criticism and adjust where needed.
It would be an honor to attend a school that has a great academic and athletic program that will assist me in becoming a better player and a better person overall. I believe that I am a great candidate for your team not only because of my hard work ethics but also because of my character, attitude, determination, and the way I carry myself.
Thanking you in advance for taking the time to read about me. I look forward to working with you and being a part of your team.
Elijah T. Myles
