My name is Brian Smyly. My senior year, I am the starting middle linebacker for my 6-A Northwest Rankin Cougars. I began as a starting fullback for my junior year and was moved to defense as middle linebacker. I was also a starting sophomore for my high school football team on defense as middle linebacker. I am about 5 feet 11 inches and weigh approximately 215 pounds. I am a leader on the field and off the field. I am a part of my church, Pinelake Baptist, high school church choir and church smallgroup. I am also in a Men's mentoring bible study. For my Sophomore year, Max Preps listed me as the #3 linebacker for Mississippi sophomores and #16 for all grades of linebackers for Mississippi 6A Region 2. In June 2011, I placed as #3 for defense at Steve Campbell's MS Gulf Coast Community College Camp.Playing college football as a freshman starter would fulfill a long standing dream of mine. A college education is an extremely important goal of mine.I am interested in pursuing a degree in business. During my Junior year, two of my plays were shown on Jackson, Mississippi's WAPT Sports News-Friday Night Football.
