My name is Zipharius D. Barnes, im a football player for Northwest Rankin High School (6A), in Flowood, Mississippi, under head coach Pete Hurt. This has been my first year to play varisty ball. I started the year playing 2nd string and splitting time with a starter, at Outside Linebacker, and worked my way up and started the last 3 games of an (11-2) season. Im also on special teams, a gunner on kick-off. Im 5'10, 180lbs. My last official 40 time was 4.64. My last bench max was 245 and my squat was 500. The things I can put on the table everyday for a college team would be my attitude, leadership, effort, and willingness to learn. At my school, we do lots of drills working on footwork, breaking on the ball, driving your feet at the point of attack, and going after the ball at its highest point.

Just to play, make a name for myself, and be remembered as one of the best to have come through that program. If that was the outcome then i know i would have put forth the time, effort, and hardwork to become a better athlete and all around person. If this is done then i know that i would have made the plays and done things for my team, to the best of my ablitiy.
