My Dad always taught me that it is important to set goals for yourself. It has always been a goal of mine to play football at the college level. I have played football every year for the last nine years and it is a game I love to play. Over the years, I have improved my skills through hard work and by listening to my coaches who taught me everything I needed to know about the game. My coaches provided me with guidance and support and always encouraged me to play at a 100% every time I stepped out on the field. I know through dedication and hard work I can achieve that goal of being a great college athlete.
My parents have always placed a huge emphasis on the importance of getting a college education and so it is another goal of mine to attend college and graduate with a degree in engineering. I want to be successful not only on the field but in the classroom as well. A college education is something you have forever so this is a goal I am determined to achieve. I've learned over the years that goals are important to have in your life.
"What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals" Zig Ziglar.
