I have loved playing football since my first season in seventh grade! I think that I have a great drive and passion to improve every day, and I set small goals each and every day, so that they will all lead to me being the best player, and person that I can be. I love the team aspect of the game, and the relationships that are created on and off the field.
I consider myself to be a strong leader that will get on teammates to give a better effort, but still be positive and encouraging to a struggling player. I was the only junior on the varsity team to be named a captain, and that motivated me to be a stronger leader, and to lead by example. Showing respect to every player, coach, and official is very important to me.
I believe that academics are just as important as athletics, and I always find time after practice to study, and help others study. I have been on the Honor Roll for my entire high school career, and also participate in many volunteer organizations and activities. My teammates are like brothers, and I respect every one of them. I strive to give 100 percent in every drill, practice, and game; no matter the outcome.
In between my Sophomore and Junior year, I switched positions from a defensive tackle/ defensive end position, to a defensive end/ middle linebacker position. I played at every spot on the offensive line, but started varsity at center. During this off season, I am making a transition to fullback on the offensive side, and working more on pass coverage, and linebacker spots on the D-line. I am open to playing any spot that best helps the team, and love the challenge of learning new responsibilities and techniques.
