Athletics has taught me many things throughout the years that I've been playing, especially in football. I have learned to be disciplined, focused and hard working. All of which have helped me off the field to be a better student in the classroom and a better person in general. Athletics also has kept me occupied and in great shape which has definitely benefited my life. Sports in general are important to me the feeling of playing and the happiness that it brings there is no other feeling, yes it is a grind and hard at times but that's what makes the hard work more rewarding. Athletics has definitely benefited my life positively.
College in general is a very important step in life and one that should not be taken lightly. Having a full education for the future is life changing and a goal. Being a student athlete is amazing and the ultimate goal is to make it all the way but having a back up plan is important also. Getting an education and getting a degree will only help the future and make life better. Also the ability to experience the life of a student athlete at the college level is critical because you learn to manage a heavy schedule and to be equally as focused in sports and the classroom. That's important to have in life because it's not easy and that is an experience I would love to have.
