Tim Sweeney '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tim Sweeney and I attend Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am entering my senior year and I would like to make the best of it. As a sophomore I started varsity and played guard at 174 pounds; I wasn't the largest guy for the job, but I knew the entire playbook like the back of my hand, and proved myself everyday in practice. This last season (my junior year) I played, I proved myself a leader and was elected captain by my teammates. I started both sides of the ball, playing both strong-side end in a 4-3 defensive front and left offensive tackle. I had grown since my sophomore year, and I currently stand at 6'1 and I weigh 194 pounds. Football has a lot to do with my success in school, driving me to maintain the same high level of excellence in the classroom that I work for on the field. Although certain academic scholarships may be available to me, I believe a scholarship to play football would be extraordinary. I understand that I am undersized for the largest Division I schools, but I believe that I could play college ball somewhere. I am interested in all divisions and levels of college football.
