Zachary (Zach) Matlock '18 Recruiting Profile

I am very humble and a hard worker in the classroom and on the field.  I might not be the loudest or very talkative but I like to lead by example and show my hard work. I take my education very serious. I have a clear understanding on how to overcome obstacles and focus on my goals. I work constantly on becoming a good person and role model in my community. 

Recommendation Letter:

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Zachary Matlock. I have had the pleasure of watching Zach during his entire four-year career in high school- both athletically and academically. Although Zach is an exceptional football and basketball, I have been most impressed with his quality of character and the way he carries himself around our campus and in our community. Zach is a natural born leader who leads by example; nothing flashy, just hard work and determination. In a day and age where many athletes are arrogant and loud, Zach lets his abilities do the talking. Zach is respectful, determined, possesses an inner-confidence, is a great teammate, and has the innate ability to make others around him better.

I am superbly confident that whatever Zach decides to do in the future, he will find success. Whatever team or organization that Zach finds himself a part of, they will be lucky to have him. Selfishly, I wish Zach had one more year of high school, but I am grateful to have been able to see him grow into a quality young man. Our school, our community, our athletic programs are all a little better because of Zach Matlock.

It has truly been a pleasure getting to know Zach over the years, and I am proud of him in so many ways. Although Zach has accomplished many things on the athletic fields, I would be remiss not to mention that he is a 4.2 student in all AP classes, with perfect attendance. Zach is the type of young man that is going to do great things in this world. He s the type of kid you want your daughter to marry.

In closing, it is an honor and privilege to write this letter for Zach. I wish him nothing but the best, and if you are considering Zach for your school, it would be a wise decision. Thank you for your time.
