- Hello Coaches,
- My name is Jordan Mendez. I'm a 6'3, 290 lbs. lineman who can play both sides of the ball. I've played tackle football since I was 10 years old and have started at the varsity level throughout my high school career. I've played most positions on both sides of the line. My prominence on the offensive line started with playing Center for many years. Then, I transitioned to offensive tackle and offensive guard in recent years. During this last 2022 season, I was blessed to be selected as "Second Team All-Conference Offensive Tackle". This year, I also had the pleasure of being invited to the Polynesian Bowl Combine.
- Something that has motivated me to be better was my sophomore year. I had gotten injured and I was forced to miss half of the season. I wasn't able to show my coaches my full potential and I learned that not every game is promised. Once I was cleared to train, I put 110% into every practice, every training session, and game I am blessed to be a part of. My goals are not only to get a scholarship but to get a quality education while playing my passion for football at the next level.
- I strive to be a leader on and off the field; whether it is in the classroom or outside of school. Playing college ball has always been a dream of mine no matter what level it is. I became interested when I realized I could support my family as well by playing a sport that I love. I have learned that I always try to help my teammates on and off the field if they forget how to run a play or if they need help with work. My goals for school are to graduate high school in a College & Career Ready white gown and then study business in college. Something that helps me stand out from other recruits is my toughness and grit. No matter what happens, I will work through it.
