Hi there, my name is Josiah Schmidt. I've been playing organized tackle football now for 7 years. Four of those years we went undefeated and won the league championship. I started out as an offensive tackle in the fourth grade, moved to defensive end, running back, tight end, outside linebacker, and have served as the backup quarterback, and both the kicker and punter for my last 6 teams. My older brother Galen played one year for the University of Nevada as a defensive tackle and still holds all of the strength records at my high school. Aside from my strength and speed, my greatest attributes are my intelligence, coach-ability, and leadership.. Last year was my first year as the featured back in the offense, and I enjoyed great success. My African-American head coach called me his "white Bo Jackson." This year, (2016) I will probably find my niche on the defense and backup our senior running back. Reed High School has won 5 straight Northern Nevada regional "large school" championships. We look to make that 6 and 7 my final two years.
