My obsession with football is abnormal. For the last decade, I've not only been driven by my passion for the game, but analyzed and studied it differently than the vast majority of people I've met. To me, football isn't a sport that I watch for the big scores and highlight plays. The true excitement lies in the 40-seconds between them. The positioning of the defence, packages of players, the feints, the coverages, the mismatches. Football is, without a doubt, the most complex and strategic sport in the world and THAT is the reason my love for the game has grown to what it is today. Throughout my career, I've excelled at all the of drills, honed my body, and developed the qualities necessary to become a leader, but where my true skill lies is in breaking down that defence and in making the best possible split-second decisions. I'm ready to throw a dime to my receiver 50-yards down-field, but I'm also ready to scramble and throw the ball away if necessary. Pre-snap reads, exploiting coverages and the utter thrill of that back and forth chess match played within two seconds of the snap is the most exhilarating feeling in the world.
The throw data was captured by Wilson Sporting Goods. Metrics were collected through a variety of drills during the Wilson QBX camps where players threw footballs using Wilson X Connected QB tracking technology embedded in each ball.
