My name is Conor Gannon from Litchfield NH, class of 2016, and I play football at Campbell High School. I just completed my 2014 season at Campbell High School. This past season, I started at outside linebacker on defense, started as a utility player on offense and started as long snapper for punts, field goals and PATs. I also was on the kick return team. Our team, the Campbell Cougars, just won the 2014 Div. III State Championship! It is the first in school history. I invite you to view the most recent press and you tube video to see my participation in that historical game. I was named First Team Division III for long snapping and Honorable Mention for Defense/OLB. I also received the 2014 underclassman award from my coaches.
I was named Captain for the 2015 season at our Dec. 2014 banquet. I also made the New Hampshire Football Report 2015 top 50 Players to Watch 4/19/15.
I was busy this past summer preparing for this season. I attended several prospect clinics and combines including the Relentless Combine in Bedford NH, the Blue Chip Football Academy (Dean College), the UMAINE Prospect Clinic, the Merrimack College one day clinic (8/7/14) and a local UNH Football Coach clinic.
Before high school I played five years of youth football. During my eighth grade year I tried out and was selected to play on the AYF NH All Star team and went to Florida with the team for the AYF National Tournament. New Hampshire placed third.
I was the only freshman ( 2012) on the team at Campbell High School who received a varsity letter. I was also the starting long snapper my freshman year. During my sophomore season (2013) I played both sides of the ball, virtually every play of every game as an offensive tackle, defensive end, special teams and long snapping. As a result of my play, I was selected Div. III South All Conference Defensive End for 2013. I also received the 2013 Underclassman Award from my coaching staff.
I believe if you asked my coaches and my strength training teacher about me they would tell you that I am a focused, dedicated and committed athlete. Aside from football, I also participate as a member of Campbell High Varsity wrestling and lacrosse. I take my conditioning very seriously before, during and after the season. I know that there is always more work to do and take nothing for granted. I believe that my coaches would also tell you that I am an unselfish player and role model for my teammates. My versatile and unselfish play is my biggest asset to the team. Whenever possible I help my teammates when they are struggling. I also accept constructive criticism and feel that I am a very coachable player. I thrive on knowing what coaches expect of me.
As a student, I currently maintain a 3.45 GPA which includes honors courses in math and science. I realize that there is room for improvement and I work with my teachers to improve and seek out assistance when necessary. In addition to my coursework, I am also involved in Special Olympics of NH, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decision) and CAL (Campbell Athletic Leaders) and had the recent opportunity to have attended the New England Student Leadership Conference at Stonehill College (summer 2014). I am also the student ambassador for NHIAA, representing Campbell High School. I have not taken my SATs yet and plan to in the early spring, 2015.
My current aspiration is to attend a post secondary college or university to obtain a degree in Engineering and that also affords me the opportunity to play D1/D2 football.
I have updated my profile on the NCSA scouting page and portfolio which includes statistics, HUDL videos and personal highlight videos and my athletic and academic information. I appreciate, in advance, the time that you take to view my profile and scouting page.
