I am a junior in high school and this is my first year starting varsity.I grew up playing soccer (My dad's main sport) but realized soccer was not the right sport for me so I started playing the game of football when I was in 7th grade and for me it was a very challenging experience because for obvious reasons I didn’t know as much as the other kids on my team whom probably had been playing the game since they started walking, however, that never discouraged me from working as hard as I could to make sure that one day I would be the kid people look at and recognize not just as a player but as a person.
My Freshman year in high school was a unique and tough experience because of everything that happened with the Corona virus and all the restrictions we went through during our basically non-existent football season. On my Sophomore year I committed myself to working extra hard on all the aspects of the game to try and catch up for the time I had lost on my Freshman year, I have worked hard to become the man I am today and have no problem with doing whatever it takes to get the job done. I consider myself to be a very disciple person with a lot of respect for my coaches and my team-mates.
I have always pictured myself going to college, but ever since I started playing football the idea of playing the sport in college it has not only been my dream but also my goal because in doing so I would be the first in my family to ever do something like this. My goals are to be able to play at my best and compete at the highest level, I am willing to work as hard as is needed to earn my spot on the starting team because I don't plan to be one more guy passing through the team but a player who came in with the mentality to help make history and hopefully win many titles for the program.
