Ian Grant '16 Recruiting Profile

  Hello my name is Ian Grant and I'm a junior at Allentown High School.

  I began my football career freshman year starting at left tackle on the offensive line and defensive tackle on the defensive line. The summer after freshman year, I was immediately elevated to Varsity's starting offensive line. I started at left guard on the offensive line during my sophomore campaign. Going forward , I am upwardly placed at starting at left tackle on the offensive line and playing defensive tackle on the defensive line. My academic goals are to get my 3.3 GPA higher, maintain a's and high b's, study a major I am interested in, and get accepted into a prestigious university.

  Football is my life's passion. I began attending college and professional games and following sports on television at the age of five. I became fascinated at an early age and learned intricacies of football and could discus this with adults.

  I attended my first camp recently and was voted best offensive lineman in the 10th grade. I am very proud of earning my Varsity letter this year.

  During my time off from football season, I go to the weight room everyday to do football workouts and I meet with a personal trainer three times a week. I also joined spring track and field to quicken my footwork for the upcoming football season. I was one of the few to earn a metal and place in shot put at an invitational meet.

  My plans this summer is to attend football workouts and attend various college football camps.

  My goal is to play college football and excel to the next level, I would offer the team commitment, dedication, skill, passion, and a winning attitude. I successfully balance sports and academics.

  I feel football is my everything. I seriously live and breath football. I believe football promotes teamwork, leadership skills, and discipline. I cant imagine life without it.
