Ja'Miel Carter-Mathews '24 Recruiting Profile

I am Ja'Miel Carter-Mathews, something you should know about me. My collegiate goals are to learn all that I can learn within that time that I'm going to be at any school along my career path. I aspire to be able to clearly understand my assignment and be able to execute with persistence, perfection, and perseverance. I always like a good challenge; it makes me better off than what I would be without it. It makes me a tougher person going through these challenges and persevering through them. What makes me an exceptional candidate for any team is my work ethic and effort. I'm able to push myself to my limits and even past because of my mental strength. What makes me different than the other recruits are my abilities to be flexible, focused, and determined. I feel that if the coach needs me to step up and play a different position I would step up to the plate. When it comes time for me to focus up in class, I can do that and I'm always determined to get better and better, no matter how long it takes or how hard the challenge is. Because at the end of the day, the battle is mostly mental, the rest being physical. I always have to win that mental battle with myself day in and day out to be great in this world; and if that's what it takes, then so be it.
