My name is Carson Vey, and I attend Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ. I am 6'4" 220 lbs. My passion for football began on the Pop Warner level where I was a two time All American Scholar Athlete and the 2011 National Football Foundation (Del Valley Chapter) Youth Athlete of the Year. I am a very versatile student athlete. Last season I played wide out and was my team's leading receiver. This year I will be starting at various positions including a hybrid tight end/wide out, defensive end and long snapper. I am currently a nationally ranked long snapper. I am rated 5 stars ranked #17 in the nation for long snapping by Kohl's Professional Camps. I am also rated 4.5 stars by Rubio Long Snapping ranked #15 in the nation and was an invite only participant at the Rubio Event Elite Camp this past summer. On top of that I am listed by 247sports.com as one of the top long snapping recruits in my class with an average snap time of .72 seconds. My Dad was a center/snapper in college. He has help to instill in me the drive and determination that is needed to play on the next level. As a student athlete, I have used that guidance to develop a mental toughness and strong moral character that motivates me to work hard and continue to improve. I apply that same work ethic in the classroom at Peddie where I currently have a unweighted 3.78 GPA. I have achieved High Academic Honors all semesters and was selected to the Mid Atlantic Prep League Football All Academic Team for the 2013 season. I also play Varsity basketball and was elected to the Mid Atlantic Prep League Basketball All Academic Team for the past season as well. It has always been my dream to play, develop, and excel on the college level and contribute to my team as a leader in the classroom as well as on the field.
"Peddie's only touchdown came in the final three seconds when senior quarterback Dom Borelli scrambled to his left and found classmate Carson Vey inside the 10 against double coverage. Vey used his 6-4 height advantage and leaping ability to climb the ladder and catch it over two defenders. Tucking the ball away at the 8, he glided into the end zone to complete the 48-yard gain."-November 2014 www.peddie.org
