My college goals are to play cornerback for a good football school and study business. I have been playing football since I was in fourth grade and I love the sport. I would love to have the accomplishment of being recruited to play for a great college team. I have been working hard in my football career, and if I got an offer to play football, it would show that my work has payed off. My dad has inspired me to follow his footsteps and study business in college because there are a lot of options to choose from and my favorite subject in school is math.
I would be a good candidate for a team because I am a leader. I know what to do and when to do it well enough to be a playmaker on the field. I can follow all of the coach’s orders easily, without struggling to follow his instructions. I started on offense, defense and special teams my sophomore year and my team went 7-3. I am able to play offense and defense for my team which makes me a very versatile player. In 8th,9th and 10th grade, I have been elected to play for the USA national team for my specific age group playing one grade up every year.
My character is different from other recruits because I do not brag about my accomplishments in my football career. I am known to be quiet during practices or in school, but in games I will be the loudest person on the field directing people where to go and what to do. I would describe myself as a humble, easy going and tenacious player that is determined to succeed. In athletics I am different than other recruits because I am 5’8 155lbs, but every time I am on the field I make it obvious that I am the best player out there. Most recruits have stunning size numbers, but I believe that height does not matter if you work hard enough. I have realized from the camps I have been to that coaches are surprised at my level of play because I might not be as tall as other players but I play better. I go to one of the top academic schools in the country which limits my time to lift and work at my skills, but I still manage to be succeed during games. Since my school is so academically challenging, coaches assume that players from my school aren’t skilled enough to play college football. My goal is to prove them wrong.
